The body and mind’s response to unsettling, hazardous, or strange circumstances is anxiety. It’s the unease, worry, or fear you experience prior to a big event. While a certain amount of worry aids in maintaining awareness and alertness, anxiety disorders feel very different from normal and may be extremely crippling. You may have suffered with severe anxiety or fear of what may occur throughout the years. Your nervous thoughts may have plagued you and caused you to have several sleepless nights, whether it was on your first day of college or the office or while you were interacting with strangers.
It’s common to have anxiety before significant life events, but when this emotion becomes ingrained in you and interferes with your day-to-day activities, it has to be addressed.
